Fast becoming one of London’s most exciting festivals, Exhibition Road Music Day is back on 21 June, following its first edition last year which attracted over 12,000 visitors. Sing, dance, learn or just listen at over 70 different indoor and outdoor performances throughout the day, in and around Exhibition Road (London SW7, tube: South Kensington). Exhibition Road is London’s premier cultural and learning quarter. Home to flourishing artistic and academic communities, it is an inspirational meeting point for the arts and sciences that welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds.
Open your ears to a whole world of sounds, from English brass bands to Iranian ensembles, from Japanese traditional music to French Nouvelle Chanson and from German DJs to Latin American samba. Whatever your own musical taste, there will be something for you.
This year’s event will feature acts such as Lo'Jo - described by The Independent as "probably one of the best live bands in the world right now”, Sonar Kollektiv's electronica artists Sirius Mo, award winning Zone One Brass Band, The Upraw - catapulted to fame through Channel 4's Rock School, Dominique A - a figurehead for nouvelle chanson scene, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Kakehashi Koto Ensemble.
